Dr. Raymond Oomen, Ph.D. trained in protein chemistry and molecular immunology before a 30-year career in industry. He founded the global bioinformatics and genomics platform at Sanofi Pasteur pioneering structure-based antigen design and inventing several vaccine candidates that went to clinical trial. As VP of Infectious Disease Therapeutics at Emergent BioSolutions, he was responsible for vaccine and mAb projects. Subsequently, he was invited to take on the CEO role at a biotechnology commercialization acceleration firm and contributed as founding CSO to the creation of a stealth startup in AI-enabled protein design.

Dr. Jahan Ali works with biotech founders to move their companies forward — drawing on 25 years spent building biotech companies from the inside, negotiating partnerships, investing in early-stage ventures, and designing the programs that help founders reach their next milestone.

She has negotiated a wide range of agreements, including in- and out-licensing, research collaborations, manufacturing agreements, and stock purchase agreements — experience built across roles as Director of Business Development at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, a licensing professional at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Mount Sinai, and life science investment lead at the Partnership Fund, a private fund founded by Henry Kravis.

At the Bioventure eLab at Weill Cornell, she built an investor conference, mentorship program, and startup competitions for founders. At SymBiosis Capital, she secured a multi-million-dollar commitment from investors to grow the regional life science ecosystem.

Today, she helps companies develop and execute their plans to get to IND.
